1. IVDMD (in vitro dry matter disappearance) is an indicator of quality and is positively related to animal digestibility (higher values indicate higher digestibility). Samples used for IVDMD determination were collected for all entries of a replicated trial at the same state of reproductive development (soft dough).
Bolding indicates entries yielding equal to highest yielding entry within a column based on Fisher's protected LSD (P = 0.10).
Planted: April 23, 1999.
Harvested: August 3, 1999.
Seeding Rate: 100,000 seed/acre in 30" rows.
Soil Type: Tifton loamy sand.
Soil Test: P = HIgh, K = Medium, and pH = 5.5.
Fertilization: Preplant: 35 lb N, 70 lb P2O5, and 105 lb K2O/acre. Sidedress: 50 lb N/acre.
Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Moldboard plowed and rototilled; Aatrex, Permit, and one cultivation used for weed control.

Test conducted by A. E. Coy and M. D. Pippin.

1. CV = 11.6% and df for EMS = 18.
2. The F-test indicated no statistical differences at the alpha = 0.1 probability level; therefore a LSD value was not calculated.
Bolding indicates entries yielding equal to highest yielding entry within a column based on Fisher's protected LSD (P = 0.10).
Planted: May 26, 1999.
Harvested: September 1, 1999.
Seeding Rate: 125,000 seed/acre in 30" rows.
Soil Type: Cecil sandy clay loam.
Soil Test: P = Medium, K = Medium, and pH = 6.7.
Fertilization: Preplant: 28 lb N, 56 lb P2O5, and 84 lb K2O/acre. Sidedress: 100 lb N/acre.
Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Moldboard plowed and rototilled; cultivated once for weed control.
