Planted: Sorghum x Sudangrass: June 18, 1999.
Millet: May 24, 1999.
Seeding Rate: Sorghum x Sudangrass: 100,000 seed/acre in 30" rows.
Millet: 4 lb seed/acre in 30" rows.  
Soil Type: Tifton sandy loam.
Soil Test: Sorghum x Sudangrass: P = High, K = Medium, and pH = 5.7.
Millet: P = High, K = Low, and pH = 5.8.
Fertilization: Preplant: 64 lb N, 28 lb P2O5, and 54 lb K2O/acre.
  Sorghum x Sudangrass: Sidedress: 50 lb N/acre, plus 40 lb N/acre after 1st harvest.
Millet: Sidedress: 50 lb N/acre, plus 40 lb N/acre after 1st, 2nd, and 3rd harvests.
Previous Crop: Winter forage.
Management: Moldboard plowed and rototilled; Atrazine and one cultivation for weed control.

Fertilization: Preplant: 28 lb N, 56 lb P2O5, and 84 lb K2O/acre.
Sidedress: 100 lb N/acre, plus 50 lb N/acre after 1st and 2nd harvests.
Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Moldboard plowed and rototilled; cultivated once for weed control.
